Sandy, Chief Executive Officer
Sandy is a proven nonprofit leader with over 25 years of experience guiding organizations toward growth, sustainability, and impact. As the CEO of The Canopy Foundation, she brings deep expertise in strategic planning, fund development, leadership, and nonprofit capacity-building to help mission-driven organizations thrive.
Throughout her career, Sandy has served as an Executive Director in multiple health and human service and youth-serving organizations, leading teams, strengthening programs, and securing critical funding. She has successfully raised millions of dollars through grants, corporate sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and individual donor cultivation. She takes a personalized, strategic approach to development planning, ensuring that each organization aligns its funding strategy, leadership, and marketing efforts to best serve its mission.
Sandy has extensive experience leading staff, facilitating board development, coordinating marketing and communications to support strategic goals, and engaging stakeholders in meaningful conversations. Her background includes directing capital campaigns, launching new programs, and securing funding for initiatives addressing food security, housing, healthcare, youth development, and mental health services.
She holds a Master of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Vermont. As a trusted partner and consultant, Sandy is committed to strengthening nonprofit capacity and fostering enduring change - helping organizations move from vision to impact.
