As CEO of The Canopy Foundation, Sandy leverages her expertise to help nonprofits thrive through mentoring, strategic planning facilitation, fund development planning, grant writing, and interim leadership support. She is committed to equipping organizations with the tools and strategies they need to achieve long-term success, ensuring they have the resources, leadership, and visibility necessary to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. Marketing Manager
Jaspher is a seasoned Marketing Manager with over five years of experience driving brand growth and engagement. He has worked with well-known brands such as Bellami Hair Extensions, Zala, Apivita, Uriage, The Center Foundation, and now brings his expertise to The Canopy Foundation. Jaspher specializes in SEO, analytics, branding, and content strategy, with a sharp eye for design and detail.
At the Canopy Foundation, Jaspher plays a key role in managing the service blog calendar, developing social media content, crafting newsletters, and enhancing the foundation’s digital presence. His experience across beauty, wellness, and nonprofit sectors allows him to deliver impactful, mission-driven marketing strategies that connect and inspire.
Natasha
Board President
As President of the Canopy Foundation Board, Natasha combines her passion for sustainability with her dedication to outdoor sports. A professional cross-country mountain bike racer, she competes in the UCI Mountain Bike World Series and the Women’s Cross-Country Olympic category, representing the United States on the international stage. Her athletic career is complemented by her academic pursuits at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studies at the Leeds School of Business with an emphasis in sustainability. As a Sustainability Fellow, she actively engages in initiatives that advance sustainability and social impact.
Natasha uses her experience and perspective to advance the mission of the Canopy Foundation and connect with partners interested in incorporating sustainability practices into their organizations.
Barbara
Board Treasurer
Barbara is deeply committed to advancing the mission of the Canopy Foundation by supporting capacity-building efforts across the nonprofit sector. With a passion for community impact and organizational sustainability, she brings a strong background in operations and a hands-on approach to strengthening local initiatives.
Her professional experience includes managing accounting services in the medical field, implementing human resources strategies for both large organizations and small businesses, and leading volunteer coordination and event planning efforts. Barbara’s practical insight and collaborative spirit make her a valuable contributor to the Foundation’s mission of fostering resilience, connection, and growth for purpose-driven organizations.
Keith
Board Secretary
Keith brings a lifetime of compassionate service to his role with the Canopy Foundation. Educated at Rutgers University, Cornell Medical School, and Dartmouth University, he spent his career practicing medicine with a patient-centered approach, caring for both the physical and mental health of his patients. His work was grounded in empathy, whole-person care, and community wellbeing.
Now retired from clinical practice, Keith continues to give back through volunteer service, particularly supporting aging populations and community-based health efforts. His dedication to service and deep understanding of human care make him a valuable advocate for the Canopy Foundation’s mission. He uses his experience and talents to strengthen the nonprofit sector and help build more resilient, connected communities.
David
Board Member
David brings over two decades of leadership in the outdoor and safety industries, with a focus on product innovation, brand development, and strategic growth. As CEO of WaveCel Technology, he has advanced helmet safety through partnerships with companies like Trek Bicycle and Burton/Anon. His prior roles at Smartwool, Rumpl, Silipint, and Hydro Flask highlight his expertise in transforming engineering-driven brands into market-driven successes.
Based in Salida, Colorado, David is deeply committed to community and environmental stewardship. His involvement with the Canopy Foundation reflects his dedication to sustainability and outdoor access. With a degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Colorado State University, he combines creativity with strategic insight to support the Foundation's mission.
